APGI Promotes Kelly Strachan to Global Operations Director

One of the world leaders in the security of people, process and property Assurance Protection Group Inc. (APGI), headquartered in Toronto with an office in Southern Africa and consultants around the world, is pleased to announce the promotion of one of its most talented team members.

A security professional with more than a decade of experience in the industry, and one of few women in the field globally, Kelly brings a background in Criminal Intelligence Analysis and practical security experience in multiple sectors such as international telecommunications, mining and municipal facilities security.

APGI CEO Adriaan (Jorrie) Jordaan says, “With her background as an Intelligence Analyst and in-depth knowledge in security assurance, intelligence, investigations and risk control processes, Kelly is the perfect person to help grow our company as we supply security services to an increasing number of diverse industries.”

Kelly holds a B.A. in Criminology and Legal Studies with a minor in Psychology from the University of Waterloo (2007), and a M.A. in Criminal Intelligence Analysis from Griffith University, Queensland Australia (2008). Kelly is a Professional Certified Fraud Examiner and member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA).

“Since I started my career in Corporate Security at Research In Motion (Blackberry) and then De Beers Canada Inc., I have been driven to develop trust-based relationships with clients. APGI holds that above all else. I am, also, proud of our leadership in security human rights training,” she says.

When not traveling with APGI, Kelly likes to golf with her husband and enjoys spending time at the cottage in Muskoka. She also enjoys cross-country skiing and snowmobiling during wonderful Canadian winters.
